Name of the carpets woven in the town of Nahavad in Northwestern Persia, near the city of Hamadan. Nahavand persian rugs use wool of great quality. The weave is delicate and complex.

The colors vary and with dominant shades those of red and blue. The designs are geometric representations of flowers and sometimes scenes from the animal kingdom.
